"Joyce Cambron has invested an entire drama in her small oil, 'Lost Hour.' With attention to the tiniest detail, we see a woman standing at the window, her unmade bed in the foreground. A magazine, glasses, jewelry box, flowers, shoes, a dress tumbling casually off a table, all carefully rendered, tell us everything and nothing about the scene. It is the type of small narrative worthy of a first-rate writer and successfully accomplished by a premier painter."
